ZD recommends using an ah-so wine opener on library wines. Be sure to add one to your cart if you don't already own one!
The 2008 vintage marked an important milestone for ZD Wines: 40 years of producing world class wines of quality and distinction, and a commitment by the deLeuze family to continue this tradition of excellence with three generations working together to elevate the “Zero Defects” name.
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of our best Napa Valley lots, and is an excellent example of ZD’s belief in the art of blending, and how different sites can produce a wine that exceeds its individual parts. With ZD’s own organically farmed Rutherford Estate as the backbone, this wine is showing wonderfully now.
Aromas of cassis, black cherry and plum intermingle with subtle hints of clove, anise, tobacco and sweet toasty vanilla. The palate is loaded with fruit and lush, well balanced tannins that carry the wine through to an incredibly long finish. The oak is present but well integrated and gives the wine an added layer of complexity.
